Pi Beta Phi (ΠΒΦ) is an international sorority that was founded on April 28, 1867 in Monmouth, Illinois at Monmouth College as I.C. Sorosis. These are at present headquartered around Town & United states, Missouri and includes over 130 active chapters and 350 alumnae clubs across a United States and Canada.
History
Pi Beta Phi was a 1st national secret woman's society to exist as founded when a male fraternity model. Pi Beta Phi was a number one organization of college women founded as a national fraternity for women, & was one of a septenary creation groups of the National Panhellenic Conference. Pi Beta Phi was besides a 1st to develop a national philanthropic gift, A Personal injury settlement School, which is at present a Arrowmont School for a Arts & Crafts & is affiliated sustaining a University of TN, & was the number one to have an alumnae department & form an Alumnae Advisory Committee for both collegial chapter.
Pi Beta Phi is governed per sorority's Grand Council, headed per Grand President.
